Innovation for the future of aviation
One of the key areas for reducing greenhouse emissions is transport. The lifestyle we’ve learned to fly around the world needs to become sustainable. Aviation biofuel already exists but is still underused. Electrical airplanes start to appear little by little. Smarter, more digital airports, with digitized and remote control towers and more efficient traffic management will also be essential for this development.
In this webinar we discuss the latest developments in both Sweden and Brazil with industry experts. Maria Fiskerud is head of sustainability and communication at Braathens Regional Aviation in Sweden, an airline that has just announced that it will soon fly only on biofuel on all its flights, project manager at Heart Aerospace’s ELISE (Electric Air Transport in Sweden) and at Nordic Network for Electric Aviation, was the CEO of Fly Green Fund, to just mention some of her experiences in the industry.
SAAB’s Air Traffic Management systems have revolutionized the industry. Its solutions for digital and remote towers were installed at London City Airport, Scandinavian Mountain Airport in Sweden among others. The company also has installations at Tom Jobim Airport (Galeão) in Rio de Janeiro and offers the entire range of its products to modernize the sector in Brazil. The director of Air Traffic Management at SAAB in Brazil, Sergio Martins, will tell us more about SAAB:s innovations.
