Summary
In its fourth edition, the Workshop of the Santa Catarina’s Center of Convergence for Aerospace Technology (SC2C.Aero) seeks to repeat the pattern of previous editions and attract to Santa Catarina the main players in the segment’s triple helix, connecting relevant agents in this highly challenging, specialized and contemporary sector. The event’s main target audience are researchers from Santa Catarina, Brazil and international institutions as well as participants from companies and governments in the Brazilian Aerospace sector and covers the entire Aerospace sector.
It aims to nurture the existing relationship network and contribute to strengthening the state of Santa Catarina as a hub with technical capacity to address topics of interest to the aerospace industry. In this way, the event invests in creating and strengthening the connection of agents in R&D&I from national and international companies involved in the aerospace sector, integration/meetings between industry and academia through the dissemination of skills and capabilities that research groups in Santa Catarina possess to address topics of interest to the segment and attract investments to the state through cooperation contracts and R&D&I projects.
The event follows a sequence of lectures and round tables focused on aeronautics and space topics presented by collaborators from industry, government and participating educational and research institutions. Furthermore, a slot of time is reserved during the event for matchmaking between participants and collaborators, scheduled in advance, and made available to everyone present. In this way, greater interaction between industry, government and academia is achieved. Previous editions featured speakers and reserved matchmaking meetings with representatives from Embraer, Visiona, Saab, Akaer, FAPESC and MCTIC as well as researchers and representatives from UFSC, ITA, SENAI and other institutions.
